Payment Terms

This Payment Policy (“Policy”) sets out the terms that apply to any paid services (“Paid Services” or purchases on the Quibble Platform). This policy is a contract between you and QB Technologies AG. This Policy forms part of Quibble's overall Terms of Service.

Please read these terms carefully and make sure you understand them. If you don't agree to any of these terms, you can't use the Paid Services on Quibble.

Eligibility to Purchase


You must be 18+ (or legal age) to buy on Quibble. Younger users need a parent/guardian's supervision.

The age requirements in the Quibble Terms of Service also apply to your use of the Paid Services. To make any purchases on Quibble (including subscriptions or upgrades), you must be at least 18 years old or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction. You must also comply with any additional age restrictions that might apply for the use of specific Paid Services, for example an age restriction on a book rental involving mature content. See Terms of Service for more information.

If you are under this age, you may only make purchases under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these terms.

Types of Paid Services


Quibble may offer subscriptions, rentals, or other paid features at its discretion.

Quibble may offer a variety of Paid Services to users of the Platform, including but not limited to subscription-based plans, content usage rights via book rentals, and other monetized features or service models that may be introduced at Quibble’s discretion.

License and Restrictions


Payments give you a limited, personal license to use features or content. No ownership is transferred.

Upon completing a transaction or paying any applicable fees, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to access and use the applicable Paid Service for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and all applicable laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Quibble and its licensors.

Paid Services may include access to platform features (such as tools or functionality) and/or to specific content (such as books, media, or related materials). Access to content does not transfer any ownership rights. All such content remains the intellectual property of its respective creators or licensors. Where applicable, you are granted a limited license to access and view this content solely within the Quibble platform, for personal, non-commercial use only.

You may not share your account credentials or misrepresent your age in order to access age-restricted Paid Services or content.

Payment Methods


Keep a valid payment method. Renewals charge automatically. Payments may be handled by app stores or Stripe.

Quibble processes payments using the payment method you select at the time of purchase. You must keep a valid, accepted payment method on file with Quibble to use Paid Services, including any trial or no-cost offers related to those services.

If you subscribe to an automatically renewing Paid Service, you agree that Quibble will charge the payment method on file at the beginning of each billing period. Should the payment method become invalid, due to expiration or other reasons, and Quibble cannot process the payment, your access to the Paid Service may be suspended until you update your payment information. Quibble will provide notice when possible, and if you do not update your payment method within a reasonable time, Quibble may cancel your subscription.

Some Paid Services may be processed through third-party platforms or affiliated payment providers, such as Apple, Google, or Stripe. In such cases, those platforms will process your payment and may be solely responsible for managing any related issues, including billing inquiries, transaction errors, or refund requests. Quibble does not control these third-party services and disclaims any responsibility for their performance or policies.

Purchases may be processed in two ways:

  • In-App Purchases. If you purchase a Paid Service through the Quibble mobile app, the transaction will be processed by the relevant platform (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). These platforms set their own billing terms and policies, which govern your transaction.
  • Web-Based Purchases. If you make a purchase on the Quibble website or web app, your payment will be processed via authorized third-party providers such as Stripe. These transactions are subject to the provider’s terms and policies, including any procedures for refunds or disputes.

No Cost Trial and Discounts


Trials convert to paid unless canceled. Discounts may come with conditions.

Quibble may provide no-cost trials for certain Paid Services periodically. When you subscribe to a Paid Service that includes a trial, Quibble will grant you access to that service for the full trial duration. Once the trial ends, Quibble will automatically charge you the subscription fee and continue billing until you cancel. To prevent any charges, you must cancel your subscription before the trial period concludes.

Quibble may occasionally provide discounts on purchases or subscriptions. Any such offers may be subject to additional terms and conditions, including eligibility requirements, which Quibble will disclose to you before you complete your purchase.

Unavailability of Content


Content may be removed or become unavailable due to licensing, legal, or policy reasons.

The availability of content on a Paid Service may change at any time, including when content within a Paid Service becomes limited or unavailable due to restrictions from our partners who license us that content, or for legal or policy reasons.

Pricing


Prices vary by region and include taxes unless noted. Currency fees may apply. Prices can change for future purchases.

All prices are displayed in the local currency based on the user’s billing region and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Pricing may vary across regions due to differences in currency conversion, applicable tax rates, and local market conditions. Quibble reserves the right to change prices at any time. Such changes will not affect past purchases, but may apply to future transactions.

If you are purchasing from outside your home currency region, your bank or payment provider may apply additional currency conversion fees. Quibble is not responsible for such fees or the exchange rate applied. All pricing and transactions are based on the values shown at the time of checkout through the platform’s selected payment gateway.

Unauthorized Use and Chargebacks


You are responsible for purchases on your account. Chargebacks may lead to loss of service or suspension.

You are solely responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all purchases made under your account. If a chargeback is initiated on a purchase that Quibble deems valid and fulfilled, your access to Paid Services may be revoked and your account may be suspended. In such cases, Quibble reserves the right to contest the chargeback and provide evidence of delivery.

Refund Policy


All sales are final. Refunds only if legally required or for valid issues reported within 14 days.

All purchases are final. Quibble does not offer refunds or cancellations once a transaction is complete, except where required by law or explicitly stated in a product’s terms. If you believe you have been charged in error or encounter technical issues preventing access to a Paid Service, you may contact our support team within 14 days of the transaction. Refund requests made after this period may not be considered.

Service Availability and Downtime


Services may be interrupted for maintenance or outages. No refunds unless legally required.

Access to Paid Services may occasionally be interrupted due to scheduled maintenance, upgrades, or unforeseen outages. Quibble does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of any Paid Service and disclaims all liability for service interruptions or performance degradation. Temporary unavailability does not entitle you to a refund or credit unless legally required.

Cancellations and Downgrades


Cancel anytime through the original purchase method. Access continues until the paid period ends.

Users may cancel their subscriptions or Paid Services at any time through the method corresponding to their original purchase. If the purchase was made via an app store (such as Apple App Store or Google Play), cancellation must be completed through that app store’s subscription management system. For purchases made directly through Quibble's website or other web-based methods, cancellations can be processed through the user's account settings or by contacting Quibble at [email protected].

Upon cancellation, users will retain access to the Paid Services for the remainder of the billing period already paid for; access will not be extended or refunded beyond this period. No retroactive refunds or credits will be issued for unused time after cancellation.

Changes to Paid Services or Pricing


Quibble may update Paid Services or pricing. Continued use means you accept the new terms.

We may update this Payment Policy from time to time to reflect legal, technical, or operational changes. Any updates will become effective upon publication. If you continue using Quibble’s Paid Services after a change is made, you are agreeing to the updated policy. We encourage users to review this document periodically.
